I am attracted to this mysteriously beautiful necklace because it reminds me of riding the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland as a child. This ride is one of my all-time favorites at the amusement park. I haven’t ridden it in probably 13 years and it surfaces many fond memories.

For those who haven’t experienced the attraction, the Haunted Mansion is a haunted house where you get inside a buggie-cart along a track of ghostly interiors, thick grey spider webs and prankster spirits. There is a moment in the ride when 19th century ghosts waltz around together to a ghoulish organ-tune. When I wear the Edith Necklace, it takes me right onto the dance floor of the Haunted Mansion and I’m dancing right alongside those fun-spirited “ghosts” I love and remember.

I asked Natalie to share some insight about the Edith Necklace. This is what she shared:
(The Edith Necklace) is named after my great grandmother. She lived to be 97 years old, so I knew her well. I remember that she had some old brooches and pins with these beautiful cameos on them, similar to this necklace. I added pearls to the chain because I felt like it added to the classy and timeless nature of the piece. There are many cameos made today, of almost anything... Cats, horses, pirate ships, you name it, but I chose the beautiful woman because it reminds me of my great grandmother and her jewelry. It also reminds me a lot of her daughter, my grandmother, who I continue to have a very special relationship with to this day. I look at this necklace and I think of my best friend, an amazing example, and a strong, elegant, beautiful woman.
